Kite Flying
(Okay, It did take me a few days to get this on, but here it is.)
On Sat. Adam thought he had a great idea. I hate to fly kites and I hate the wind. So when he says he wants to go kite flying at the park, I said I will go to the library first and meet you there.

I don't know what Adam was thinking. Yes it was a windy day, but I think the wind was just too much for the kites. The kids were so excited. But after spending a few minutes and the kite spending more time of the ground than in the air, they gave up. They did have a good time and it was well worth the effort. It was fun for me(sitting in the car), I got a great laugh.
Jessica hates the wind. She has to have a hat on.
Her Favorite Hat.

WOW!! I don't believe it!
Adam and I just celebrated our "13th" anniversary.
We were married April 14th, 1995. The weather was almost like it is this year. Snow covered the ground with tulips sticking up through it. But then it was sunny and beautiful that night. (Sound familiar?)
Wow!! Where has the time gone. We were in the process of building our first home. We were both working mediocre jobs, and Adam was going to school. Our first ward was made up of many people just like us. (Although we were the youngest in our ward for a long while.) How simple life was then, even though we thought it was hard. We are now living in my in-laws home, have four children, drive a mini van, and feel like we are barely surviving our days.
I am so grateful to an amazing husband, father, and friend. He gives me more than I deserve and is such a great support to me. "I am more in love today than yesterday!" I can't wait to share many, many, many more years together.
Well you know how life works. One day something breaks down. Then next week it's something else that breaks down. Then a month later it might be something else. Well this is how our life has been since December. It started with the furnace needing a cleaning, then we had a gas leak that turned into the water heater needing to be fixed, then our clothes dryer needed some work, and then two weeks ago the dishwasher went out. So for a couple of days we looked, we finally decided on something, waited a week to have it delivered. Then they deliver and tell me it is too big for the spot. We send it back, go looking some more. We bought one and went to put it in and the hoses didn't fit. A day or so later it works. Yeah!!!!! No more washing dishes by hand.
We are now starting the project (for Alyson) of fixing up the bathrooms, puttying holes in walls and getting ready to paint. Yes, pretty much the whole house is getting a paint makeover. I think I am crazy but this is something we have wanted to do (for Alyson) for the four years we have lived here. I hope to accomplish it quickly.

Not Much To Report
Well not much changes in our life. Adam starts our day with the paper route, then work. The kids get up and ready then off to school. Jessica, well, I chase her around from one catastrophe after another. A typical day consists of telling her "NO" about 300 times. I guess not so different from any other 2 (almost) year old. Then there is Sophie who eats, sleeps, needs a diaper change, then we start all over. I do find enough time to check out the Blogs and play a little Ticket to Ride online (my little addiction).
I guess I need to start taking notes and listen to my children so that I have something worth while to update you all on. But I am not so good at either of those, so this is what you get for now.

She is GROWING!
Well it seems that our littlest one is growing. After several weeks of not gaining, but losing weight, she is now up to 8 lbs. 5 oz. and 21 1/2 inches long. She is now on the charts in the 5%.
