Hailey's 12th Birthday
Hailey has been planning her 12th birthday party for years. But with that aside, she planned a great one. She invited 3 of her closest friends. They participated in the "Parry Relaxation Spa". We started out by doing facials, then pedicures and manicures. They had spa treats and drinks.

When they had finished with the fun, Hailey opened her presents. They moved into "sleep over" mode and got in there p.j.'s. They started watching a movie and then played the Wii.
All in all I think it was pretty successful. I am so proud of her and the choices she has made. She is now 12, she has started Jr. High, is now in Young Womens and is babysitting. What is so crazy to me is that I remember being 12. I am not old enough to have a 12 year old. Where does time go?
Kids Pictures
Over UEA weekend I thought I would take the kids pictures. No one really wanted to participate, but Mom made them. I am to cheap to have the school take the pictures. After this experience I should have just had the school do them.
None of the group shots turned out. This was the best.

First Day of School
This was a big year for us. Hailey started Jr. High. She is attending a school out of our district. She decided to go to a different school because of friends, curriculum, and sports. She loves the decision she made (& so does mom & dad). 7th grade is just been amazing and the changes have been good for Hailey.
Curtis started the 3rd grade. He loves to go to school, because he is so social. He enjoys his teacher and trys to be a people pleaser.

Jessica started preschool this year. She is going with her friend Alice. She has made many new friends and love her teacher. She wakes up with such joy to go to school and can't wait for show & tell day.

FOOD FIGHT!
We have a true Wonder Mom on our street.
For the after school celebration Camille threw a Food Fight in her back yard. She had us all bring some (soft) food to throw. The kids all had a great time. Although Curtis stayed on the out skirts of the fight and then ran up right before the end saying he was sick. He kept gagging and said he was going to throw up. Luckily because we got him away from the smell and "the gross" stuff (according to him) he was fine. A shower and some TV time didn't hurt either.
Hailey loved it. And I think she wore the worst of it. She was the oldest girl there. There was two boys just older than her and they ganged up together to attack her. It took squirting her off with the hose, taking a shower (where she washer her hair 4 times) & mom washing it one more time before she was pronounced clean.
It was loads of fun! (Especially because it was not at my house)

Last Day of School
June 8, 2010
Wow, where has the time gone. I had a tear in my eye as I watched Hailey leave school for the last time. She said goodbye to teachers, friends, safety patrol and staff. I was so impressed that her teacher thought she was so responsible that she got to take the flag down for the summer. Curtis worked hard this year and became my little young man. He was able to find discipline and will power. He made new friends and experienced many fun times.

Congrats Hailey!
Hailey graduated from the 6th grade on Monday June 7th, 2010.
We are so proud of her and the choices she had made. She has become a great student and works hard at learning. We are impressed that she has made some life long friends. She has earned some great respect from her teachers and staff at the school. She was even honored by the Kwanis Club with an award.
Way to go Hailey!

Swimming
Our first swimming trip of the year and it is in July. (And it was still a little cool). We love that we have such great friends that invite us up to their parents pool. We get together as neighbors and have fun in the pool and treat on snow cones at the end. We have had a great time doing this. Thanks for a great time each year.
Cabin Trip
Just Two Weeks Later!
We spent four more days at the cabin in July. But this time we had all of Alyson's kids there. We had 10 adults and 11 kids at the cabin. We played in the water, sand, and cement (building a ramp for Aunt Barbara). We played games, watched movies and had a tether ball tournament (yeah, you read it right). What a fun time all together and for the cousins to all bond to one another. For days afterwards Jessica would ask "When is Eliza coming to play?" or "Can I go to Lacey's house?"

Capital Reef Vacation
This year one of our vacations was taken just one day after we came home from the cabin. We had enough time to unpack, wash, repack, do a little shopping, sleep and hop back into the car. The kids were troopers and loved getting away with the family.
We went to Capital Reef with Adam's aunt and uncle and there family. (Thanks Jeff and Jann)We always love to spend time with them and enjoy having our kids get to know the family. This year we did a drive through the park, did a little hike and let the kids play. We were only a little hot (being in July) but had a great camp sight with lots of shade.
Curtis even picked up his nickname from Jolynn, he is now called Toad around our house. And Jolynn's fiance (Justin) even made friends with our little Sophie, who was not so friendly (until the last day).
Thanks for the good times and great memories. Always worth it.

Some Cabin Fun...
This year we had a great summer at the cabin. This was our trip over the 4th of July. We worked on staining the deck, playing games, feeding horses, watching fireworks, enjoying the new outside, and enjoying one another. Thanks Alyson for the time at the cabin.

Happy Father's Day
While today was a little hectic, it was still a great day. I was asked to speak in my parents ward about my father. What a great way to honor and show my appreciation for all he has done for me. I am so grateful for the lessons he has taught me and the support he is to me and my family. I am so lucky to have such a thoughtful, loving dad.
My husband is also a great father in my life. I am so proud of him. He is so great with our children. He is so patient, loving, playful, and spiritual with our children. I love to watch the way he interacts with our children. I am so grateful to have him in my life. I love you honey, Happy Father's Day.

I only have one living grandfather in my (our) life. I am so lucky that he is around to be such a good example to my children. I enjoy the time we spend with him at "treat" (it is an early lunch at a fast food place of the kids choosing) and on special occasions. He is a great example to me of service and compassion. Thanks grandpa great for all the good times in my life. We love you!
I am also grateful for Adam's dad. We miss him terribly, it has been 9 years since his passing. I love hearing the accounts of Adams years growing up. I was lucky enough to get to know him and his sense of humor. I am so thankful for the lessons he taught Adam and for the example of how a father should treat his children.
Wow, how lucky am I to have such great men in my life.

Hailey's Last Day
Hailey was a busy bee this year in school. She participated in the crossing guard, a library helper, reading buddy, helped in heading a service project and the after school basketball class. She also participated in many school performances and art projects. Hailey loves to be involved. Hailey worked hard all year and improved in many areas. Hailey loved her teacher Ms. Jensen and wishes she could have her next year. Way to go Hailey, Mom and Dad are very proud of you.
