Happy Father's Day

While today was a little hectic, it was still a great day. I was asked to speak in my parents ward about my father. What a great way to honor and show my appreciation for all he has done for me. I am so grateful for the lessons he has taught me and the support he is to me and my family. I am so lucky to have such a thoughtful, loving dad.

My husband is also a great father in my life. I am so proud of him. He is so great with our children. He is so patient, loving, playful, and spiritual with our children. I love to watch the way he interacts with our children. I am so grateful to have him in my life. I love you honey, Happy Father's Day.

I only have one living grandfather in my (our) life. I am so lucky that he is around to be such a good example to my children. I enjoy the time we spend with him at "treat" (it is an early lunch at a fast food place of the kids choosing) and on special occasions. He is a great example to me of service and compassion. Thanks grandpa great for all the good times in my life. We love you!

I am also grateful for Adam's dad. We miss him terribly, it has been 9 years since his passing. I love hearing the accounts of Adams years growing up. I was lucky enough to get to know him and his sense of humor. I am so thankful for the lessons he taught Adam and for the example of how a father should treat his children.
Wow, how lucky am I to have such great men in my life.

Hailey's Last Day

Hailey was a busy bee this year in school. She participated in the crossing guard, a library helper, reading buddy, helped in heading a service project and the after school basketball class. She also participated in many school performances and art projects. Hailey loves to be involved. Hailey worked hard all year and improved in many areas. Hailey loved her teacher Ms. Jensen and wishes she could have her next year. Way to go Hailey, Mom and Dad are very proud of you.

Curtis' Last Day of School

Curtis had a great year. He loved his teachers and is going miss them a lot (he went to bed crying because he was going to miss them). Ms. Powell taught Curtis how to work hard, to be a good friend, to love school, and to be happy and respectful. Some of Curtis' favorite things about school were: Choice time, field trips, and reading time.

Ms. Powell had the kids get in a circle with balloons to perform a Memory Ceremony. They all took turns telling there favorite memory at school this year. Then they let go of there balloons. It was such a fun experience with the kids. They each got a memory book with some art projects from the year. We then walked outside and watched the Flag ceremony. Hurray Summer is here (or is it? What is with all this rain?)

Cabin Work Day

We spent Sat. helping out at the Richards family Cabin. We took down trees, cleaned out old furniture (tossed off the upper deck), made a new back deck for Aunt Barb, and made a rock wall. We had a lot of help and enjoyed all the company. We had a great day.

Jessica Turns 3!

Jessica had a great celebration for her birthday. On the day before her birthday we went to the zoo with Grandma(& her kids), Aunt Brenda (& her girls), Aunt Lynnette and Uncle Josh (with Malcom), and with Uncle Brett and Aunt Caroline (with Patrick). We saw the animals, played on the play ground and had birthday cake for Jess.
On her birthday Dad had to work. So we called him, we all sang Happy Birthday, and gave her her present (a new bike). She yelled "Thanks Dad" and hung up the phone. It took her a few minutes to figure out how to peddle. But now she has it down and is all over the place on her new bike. That night we left for the cabin. We had cup cakes that night. Then on Sat. when others came up we made a cake and celebrated with Adam's Aunts and kids.
On Monday Grandma and Grandpa brought over a gift. She loves her new princess helmet and her princess CD player. She is so cute with both of them.
A few days later Nana gave her a new outfit. She looks so cute in it and loves to wear it (as soon as it comes out of the wash).
Jessica has given us a run for the money over the last year, but as she approached three she has found a very lively personality. We love having her part of our family. Wow, where does three years go?

Curtis' Underwater Adventure

Curtis along with his class put on mini plays. They practiced in school and at home for a month. They also decided on the props and drew the back drop. Curtis performed in the reading of a story called Underwater Adventure. They were all so cute and did a fabulous job. Aren't they cute?

Hailey's School Art Project

Hailey's class entered the Hogle Zoo's art competition. They went to the zoo to plan out the drawing and gather ideas. Then after a few weeks of working this was the finished project. They also won a prize. We are so proud of you Hailey, good work.
