Swimming

Our first swimming trip of the year and it is in July. (And it was still a little cool). We love that we have such great friends that invite us up to their parents pool. We get together as neighbors and have fun in the pool and treat on snow cones at the end. We have had a great time doing this. Thanks for a great time each year.

Cabin Trip

Just Two Weeks Later!

We spent four more days at the cabin in July. But this time we had all of Alyson's kids there. We had 10 adults and 11 kids at the cabin. We played in the water, sand, and cement (building a ramp for Aunt Barbara). We played games, watched movies and had a tether ball tournament (yeah, you read it right). What a fun time all together and for the cousins to all bond to one another. For days afterwards Jessica would ask "When is Eliza coming to play?" or "Can I go to Lacey's house?"

Capital Reef Vacation

This year one of our vacations was taken just one day after we came home from the cabin. We had enough time to unpack, wash, repack, do a little shopping, sleep and hop back into the car. The kids were troopers and loved getting away with the family.

We went to Capital Reef with Adam's aunt and uncle and there family. (Thanks Jeff and Jann)We always love to spend time with them and enjoy having our kids get to know the family. This year we did a drive through the park, did a little hike and let the kids play. We were only a little hot (being in July) but had a great camp sight with lots of shade.

Curtis even picked up his nickname from Jolynn, he is now called Toad around our house. And Jolynn's fiance (Justin) even made friends with our little Sophie, who was not so friendly (until the last day).

Thanks for the good times and great memories. Always worth it.

Some Cabin Fun...

This year we had a great summer at the cabin. This was our trip over the 4th of July. We worked on staining the deck, playing games, feeding horses, watching fireworks, enjoying the new outside, and enjoying one another. Thanks Alyson for the time at the cabin.

More School.....

Congrats Adam....He just finished his first semester in his graduate program. Way to go honey. We are so proud of him.He was able to pass both classes with A's.

Adam decided to go to throught the masters program with his brother Ken. They are both having a great time. Our kids love to see dad doing his homework. I only hope that the Fall semester runs just as smoothly.

Happy Father's Day

While today was a little hectic, it was still a great day. I was asked to speak in my parents ward about my father. What a great way to honor and show my appreciation for all he has done for me. I am so grateful for the lessons he has taught me and the support he is to me and my family. I am so lucky to have such a thoughtful, loving dad.

My husband is also a great father in my life. I am so proud of him. He is so great with our children. He is so patient, loving, playful, and spiritual with our children. I love to watch the way he interacts with our children. I am so grateful to have him in my life. I love you honey, Happy Father's Day.

I only have one living grandfather in my (our) life. I am so lucky that he is around to be such a good example to my children. I enjoy the time we spend with him at "treat" (it is an early lunch at a fast food place of the kids choosing) and on special occasions. He is a great example to me of service and compassion. Thanks grandpa great for all the good times in my life. We love you!

I am also grateful for Adam's dad. We miss him terribly, it has been 9 years since his passing. I love hearing the accounts of Adams years growing up. I was lucky enough to get to know him and his sense of humor. I am so thankful for the lessons he taught Adam and for the example of how a father should treat his children.
Wow, how lucky am I to have such great men in my life.

Hailey's Last Day

Hailey was a busy bee this year in school. She participated in the crossing guard, a library helper, reading buddy, helped in heading a service project and the after school basketball class. She also participated in many school performances and art projects. Hailey loves to be involved. Hailey worked hard all year and improved in many areas. Hailey loved her teacher Ms. Jensen and wishes she could have her next year. Way to go Hailey, Mom and Dad are very proud of you.
