Summer Happenings

I know it has been forever since my last blog. I think that having four children caught up with me. I have found little time to do what I want to do this summer. With that I will update you on our doings. We have been busy despite the fact that I would just love to lounge around and sleep through the summer, but the children said NO WAY. Here we go:

This has been an eventful summer in our back yard. Hailey had a sleep over at our house in June. They had just made there personal pizzas and were waiting for them to cook. They asked to go play on the swingset out back. No Problem I said. Not more than five minutes before dinner is done does Hailey run back in and said, "Emma is really hurt come check." She had fallen off the swing and landed on her wrist. It took awhile for the swelling to show and after talking to her parents and waiting for a half hour she looked bad enough to be taken in. So her parents spent the night in ER to find it broken and needing a cast.

Not more than three days later. I was watching Kelsey and they were playing on the slide in the back yard. Her parents had only been gone 5 minutes when she went down the slide to fast and broke her arm. I would not thought it broken except that it looked just like Emma's when it stated to swell. They came and took her to the doctor and it to was broken.

So this summer watch out, we still have one more broken bone to go through. (HaHaHa, just kidding.)

We have also spent a fair amount of time in water. Thanks to a good friend we have been invited to go to there parents pool a couple of times. The kids love it and it gives me some what of a break. Jessica lives for water. She begs for her swimsuit from the time she wakes up in the morning. I have such daredevils for children.

This year was the Richards Family Reunion. We had a great time playing games, learning family history, eating great food, and of course my kids favorite part is painting ceramics. (Thanks to Aunt Barb for a great tradition.)

We have spent a lot of time playing with friends. Just a couple weeks ago we had the "Hanna Montana, Miley Cirus in 3-D concert" Party. The kids all came down to watch. Fun times.

Earlier this summer we went to Taylorsville Days street parade. We got our favorite spot under the freeway and the kids loved getting all the candy they could.

Curtis learned how to ride his bike (finally). We have spent a couple of times at the cabin. We have stained the deck and fence. We have also spent a fair amount of time relaxing.
